Our Corporate Tax team covers a wide spectrum of tax advisory matters including core compliance, transaction-focused advisory, tax risk, innovation and technology solutions. We work alongside the firm’s key sector teams. Our people have flexibility in the areas and sectors they cover and are able to support the teams’ growth through their contribution.

Within this role, you will provide tax compliance, advisory and accounting services to a range of clients from small start-ups to major multinationals across all lines of the sector. You will regularly engage with stakeholders at all levels, so it is important that you are able to clearly articulate complex tax issues and develop effective solutions and relationships with clients. You will also:

1. Provide Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients using resources from a shared service team or via technology tools.
2. Manage a substantial portfolio of clients including control of client take-on and engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries, together with cash collection.
3. Pays attention to self-development and continuing professional education with a view to progressing within practice.
4. Develop professional relationships with clients and within the Firm and adapt the approach for the relevant audience.
5. Understand potential risks to the Firm in relation to the Firm’s quality control procedures and raise these to the appropriate person.
6. Get involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis.
7. Guide and supervise less experienced colleagues.
8. Support, train, mentor and advise others in own area.
9. Challenge current practice – driving improvements and championing change.
10. Take personal responsibility for own decisions and actions and those of others.
11. Lead projects of limited scale or complexity.

1. An in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation with specialist knowledge and the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
2. Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably whilst being able to actively seek opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients.
3. Experience of dealing with client senior management.
4. Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
5. Demonstrable post-qualified experience.
