Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer

About the Role

Our client, with a strong presence across the Central Belt of Scotland, is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to service new client contracts. The role involves varied duties and requires a candidate with broad hands-on experience. Access to the M8 is beneficial as client contracts are located along this region. They offer excellent salaries and benefits to the successful candidate.

Coverage Area

Sites across: Paisley, Clydebank, Glasgow, East Kilbride, Motherwell, Belshill, Shotts, Forth, Bathgate, Falkirk, Bo'ness, Linlithgow, Livingston, Larkhall, Carluke, Lanark, Airdrie, Cumbernauld, Stirling, Queensferry, Currie, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Dunblane.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer within a Water Hygiene / Legionella company
• Good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
• Plumbing/remedials experience and qualifications are advantageous but not essential
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficiency with IT software for reporting
• Hardworking attitude

Responsibilities

• Showerhead disinfections
• TMV inspections and servicing
• Acid descales
• Flushing of infrequently used outlets
• Water sampling
• Temperature monitoring
• Chlorinations
• Calorifier inspections
• Updating site logbooks and completing service reports
