Job summary

An established industry player is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to design and implement electrical systems. This role involves creating wiring diagrams, programming PLCs, and designing mechanical parts. You will also be responsible for installing equipment at customer sites and providing training and support. Job description

Due to the high security nature of the business, employees may require background checks and security clearance when visiting customer sites.

Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
Role and Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems and produce wiring diagrams.
  • PLC programming - writing PLC software.
  • Design mechanical parts and produce drawings/models.
  • Fault finding and problem solving.
  • Installing and commissioning equipment at customer sites.
  • Providing customer training and support.
Skills and Experience
  • Electronics experience to design electrical systems and produce wiring diagrams (3ph, single-phase, analogue and digital systems).
  • Ability to write PLC software (Siemens/Panasonic desirable).
  • CAD experience (Autocad or Solidworks preferable but not essential).
  • Fault finding and problem solving skills and experience.
  • Willingness to travel overseas as required (approx. 2-6 times per year/duration of 2-14 days per trip) for installations and fault finding at customer sites.
  • Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems desirable.
  • Experience using core Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
