Job Description:

London Gatwick offers an exciting opportunity for a Programme Construction Manager to join our dynamic team at the world's most efficient single-runway airport. Be part of shaping our future by supporting the delivery of a substantial investment plan to develop and enhance our airport infrastructure and facilities.

The Programme Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction activities on multiple major projects within a defined programme of works—all within a live operational environment with values over £50m. Responsibilities include leading construction management, team development, safety engagement, contractor review and compliance, quality and commissioning, work inspections, and contractor onboarding.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree or equivalent in construction management or engineering; Chartered Membership is highly desirable.
  • At least ten years of experience in a similar role on complex infrastructure projects valued over £50m.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, quality management, health and safety issues, and project close-out processes.
  • Operational environment experience, problem-solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with NEC contracts are highly desirable.
