The role
As a General Maintenance Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An opportunity exists for a General Maintenance Assistant to work in a leading defence technology company delivering a wide range of design, manufacturing and operational support projects to defence customers from a MOD site based near Crimond, Aberdeenshire.


Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of domestic water and drainage systems.
  • General labouring and porterage including receipt, packing and dispatch of goods.
  • Supervision of contracted staff to ensure that work is carried out to agreed standards.
  • Maintain technical and administration records and provide information as required.
  • Safety & Health of self and others who may be affected by work activities.
  • Routine maintenance of site areas, buildings, exterior and interior.


This role is full time and is based on site at Crimond.

Essential experience of the General Maintenance Assistant:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of current safe working practices and safety procedures
  • Experience of general building maintenance
  • Experience of maintenance of outdoor areas
  • Basic Computer skills including email, Word and spreadsheets.
  • Use of hand and power tools


Qualifications for the General Maintenance Assistant:

  • Minimum GSCE in Maths and English or NVQ level2.
  • Possession of a current full UK driving licence.
