We are experts in digital transformation, providing clubs and venues with technology that streamlines the hospitality booking process, improves customer experience, and offers fans 24/7 access to premium experiences.

Our brand partnerships have grown significantly over the past six months. We now exclusively power hospitality and premium ticket sales through 24 direct partnerships and work with hundreds more.

We are backed by former Wales and Lions captain Sam Warburton OBE (Brand Ambassador), England Rugby Union legend Sir Clive Woodward OBE (Board Advisor), and since October 2022, Wales and Ospreys winger George North (Brand Ambassador).

We are seeking a passionate and talented Back-end Engineer with extensive experience in building back-end services using Ruby on Rails. Candidates should have at least 3 years of commercial experience, a positive attitude, and a passion for creating high-quality user experiences through software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Build robust, scalable, secure, and fast APIs and services
  • Collaborate within a highly engaged and communicative agile team
  • Apply your technical expertise to introduce new ideas into our products
  • Foster an excellent engineering culture that balances high standards with productivity
  • Implement software engineering best practices to ensure a solid and scalable technical foundation

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing back-end services with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL
  • Deep understanding of the Rails and Ruby ecosystem, tools, and best practices
  • Experience working with common Rails gems such as Sidekiq, Devise, RSpec
  • Designing and building RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications
  • Strong grasp of software architecture patterns and their appropriate use
  • Relational database design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance skills
  • Experience scaling back-end services in high-traffic, rapidly growing environments
  • Understanding of automated testing, cybersecurity, application performance, and software design patterns
  • Experience working in an agile, cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with product owners, front-end, and DevOps engineers
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for software development

Bonus / Additional Skills

  • Experience building e-commerce and marketplace products
  • Interest in functional programming languages, with experience in Elixir and Phoenix
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, IaC, Kubernetes on AWS
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
