An exciting opportunity for a band 6 secondment has arisen for committed, highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individuals who have skills and knowledge in Acute Stroke Nursing as a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse.

The hyper-acute and acute stroke unit is a 28 bedded unit offering high quality stroke care including post thrombolysis and post thrombectomy care.

Main duties of the job

If you are a quality driven person wishing to deliver a high quality service to our patients and their families, have the ability to work well within a dynamic ward environment and develop specialist nursing skills, we would love to hear from you.

In return, we can offer a structured induction programme for all new members of staff and seek to optimise your potential within the scope of caring for the Stroke patient. We are looking for an individual who share's our vision in the provision of clinical excellence.

  • • Diploma in Nursing
  • • Evidence of degree level study in health/nursing related studies
  • • Recognised qualification in teaching & acessing
  • • Experience in a neurological speciality as a qualified nurse
  • • Experience in hyperacute care
  • • 1 years of management/leader ship experience
  • • Minimum of 3 years post registration experience to include 18 months in Stroke
