South Ayrshire Council is offering a Sport and Leisure Modern Apprenticeship for young individuals looking to gain experience in the fitness and leisure sector. This temporary role includes positions as Gym Attendant and Leisure Attendant, providing essential services to the community while developing professional skills. Successful candidates will receive training and support, with opportunities to gain qualifications such as NPLQ Lifeguard and swim teacher certifications.

This role involves assisting staff in the gym, delivering inductions to new members, and, when qualified, leading fitness classes such as spin, evolve, and circuits. Responsibilities also include cleaning the facility and providing excellent customer service.
This role includes working towards your NPLQ Lifeguard qualification, supervising the poolside, maintaining the pool area, and delivering customer service. There is also an opportunity to work with the swim team and work towards a swim teacher’s qualification.
