Dundee City Council is offering a full-time Modern Apprentice position based at Fairmuir House. This role is designed for young individuals aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care-experienced applicants under 29. The apprenticeship includes practical training and college studies to develop skills in a chosen trade.
Based at Fairmuir House, 365 Clepington Road, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, on a fixed term basis for 4 years. The Modern Apprentice Scheme aims to address high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is available only for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care-experienced applicants under the age of 29. You will work under the direct instruction of a tradesperson to develop skills and knowledge for the chosen trade, demonstrating enthusiasm and a willingness to achieve a high level of competency. You will also undertake college studies and must complete the chosen development training programme.
You should have the ability to work as part of a team or independently. Good communication skills, enthusiasm, good timekeeping, and the ability to attend college as part of the apprenticeship are essential.
