Salary: £35,476 - £41,028 per year

Contract Type: Permanent

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: 37 hours per week

Job Role

Based within Bellshill Fleet Operations Depot, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the delivery of an effective and efficient mechanical repair service to our customers and clients. Your responsibilities include carrying out repairs, inspection, and maintenance of a mixed fleet of Local Authority vehicles powered by both traditional and alternative fuels.

Requirements and Skills
  • Use your experience, knowledge, and skills to plan your workload and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines.
  • Be computer literate and interact with Fleet Management and Vehicle Diagnostics systems.
  • Prepare and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Experience working with electric or hydrogen vehicles.
Qualifications
  • Educated to SCQF level 7 in Mechanics.
  • IMI Level 3 Award in Heavy Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement.
  • Driver's Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC).

Additional Information

Work Pattern: 37 hours/week with shifts:

  • Early Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:30am – 2:30pm & Friday 6:30am - 2:00pm
  • Back Shift: Monday to Thursday 1:30pm – 10:00pm & Friday 1:30pm – 7:00pm

*Casual/sessional roles receive 12.1% of hourly rate for leave and holidays, paid only for hours worked.
