Job Description:

Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) – SPANGDAHLEM AFB

Reef Systems is seeking a fully qualified certified strength and conditioning coach to support SPANGDAHLEM AFB.

Introduction:

The Human Performance Optimization (HPO) mission is to build and implement a holistic human performance approach to address increased stresses on operators and aircrew members. The mission aims to enhance their physical and mental capacity, reduce injuries, and accelerate return to duty times, ultimately supporting combat power.

Background:

The initiative focuses on preserving combat capability by improving readiness among operators, aircrew, and support personnel, including a specific support role for a Physical Therapist.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years as a full-time Strength & Conditioning Specialist in collegiate, professional, or tactical athletics, aerospace, or similar fields.
  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related fields.
  • Certifications: NSCA CSCS or CSCCa certification, SCCC certification, current CPR and AED training.
Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day, with possible after-hours support. Total hours not to exceed 40 per week.

HPO Task:

The contractor will establish and oversee strength and conditioning protocols, focusing on injury prevention, performance optimization, and physical training tailored to operational needs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Completing all required training and in-processing.
  • Designing and implementing physical training programs.
  • Performing performance testing and injury prevention guidance.
  • Collaborating with medical staff and maintaining equipment and facilities.
  • Providing routine fitness reports and administrative documentation.
  • Advising on facility layout and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrating exercises, hiking in rough terrain, and lifting loads up to 55 pounds.
Period of Performance:

Five years.

U.S. Citizenship:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Green Card holders do not qualify for base and network access.

Security:

Minimum Tier 1 background check required prior to duty. All security documentation is the contractor’s responsibility.
