Job description

Job overview

Have you had experience in a supervisory role, are a team player, and can work off your own initiative? We are currently looking for a team coordinator in porters at Frimley.

We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff alike.

You will undertake day-to-day supervision of the portering services team, perform general portering duties, and respond to emergency situations. Good communication skills, along with clear verbal and written skills, are essential. You will be competent in the use of IT systems and need to be flexible, reliable, and punctual. You will work a rota including weekends.

Applicants who require a Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) are unlikely to be considered due to the limit on COS. Non-EEA candidates cannot be appointed if a suitable, qualified, experienced, and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available, as the Trust is unlikely to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test in such cases.

An English and Maths basic skills test will be required prior to the interview. If the applicant does not pass these tests, they will not be considered for an interview.

Main duties of the job
  • As a Chargehand Porter, you are the first-line supervisor and must act and carry out supervisory responsibilities at all times. You may be required to stand in for the Assistant Hotel Services Manager or their designated assistant and attend meetings as needed.
  • To be an ambassador for the department.
  • Manage the trust's EPR system to ensure patient flow.
