A leading council in Scotland is seeking a Senior Youth Worker for a part-time position at the East Mainland Youth Club. This role involves coordinating activities and supporting young people in an informal setting. The successful candidate will receive training and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to youth development.

Salary: £29,192 - £29,795 per year pro rata

An opportunity has arisen within the above youth club for an energetic and enthusiastic individual interested in working with young people in an informal setting.
If you are keen to get involved in youth work or wish to further develop your current experience in supporting and working with young people, then we would be delighted to hear from you. A comprehensive training programme and an excellent rate of pay are available to successful applicants.
The Senior Youth Worker is responsible for the co-ordination and running of the club, and along with the General Youth Worker is expected to work with the members to develop an interesting programme of activities in the youth club. In addition, the appointed person will be required to attend other meetings and training events, over and above club sessions.
You should have experience and an understanding of working with children and young people in an informal setting. You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
