Qualifications

What you will do

As a Senior Accounts Payable you will verify and process system invoices as well as requests for payment. You will also maintain payment files and execute check generation jobs through completion.

Responsibilities

  1. Follow company processes, controls and policies
  2. Create and take action on month-end accounts payable reports
  3. Receive invoices, perform necessary validations and execute transactions with timeliness
  4. Resolve issues, serve as a resource in troubleshooting complex matters and ensure that problems are responded to in a timely manner
  5. Demonstrate leadership skills and develop new employees
  6. Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including vendors, facilities and colleagues
  7. Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are clearly defined, updated and documented
  8. Preparation, review and posting of monthly journal entries to the general ledger
  9. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  10. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
  11. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  12. Manage procurement operations for finance organization
  13. Invoice review, payments, vendor management, and assistance with prepaid and accrued expenses
  14. Assist with monthly close process including financial analysis and financial reporting
  15. Support annual audits and tax return working in concert with external auditors
  16. Other duties as required

About you

Requirements

  1. Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  2. Good understanding of accounting/book-keeping and expense recognition principles
  3. 3-5 years minimum Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume accounting environment
  4. Sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  5. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  6. Experience using an ERP system (Oracle will be value added)
  7. Good skills in reconciliation
  8. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
