Support Worker for a 10-year-old boy with Extreme Short Bowel Syndrome

We are seeking a Support Worker to assist a 10-year-old boy diagnosed with Extreme Short Bowel Syndrome who requires Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), an intravenous nutritional feeding. The role involves enabling the child to access age-appropriate leisure activities in the community, supporting outdoor activities with caution due to fatigue, and engaging in crafts, board games, and play with action figures at home.

The successful candidate must be calm in stressful situations and capable of providing personal care. Full training for TPN administration will be provided.

Hours: 4 hours per week with some flexibility. Rate of pay: £13.09/hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks/year pro-rata. Out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
