A leading NHS Trust is seeking a Capital Estates Projects Business Partner to oversee the implementation of capital projects. This role involves managing stakeholder engagement, leading project delivery, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly within the NHS, and will play a key role in delivering significant service transformations.

The post holder will support the implementation of capital estates projects. To put in place effective and transparent governance arrangements to manage the identified project.
The post holder will be responsible for significant aspects of the capital delivery of the estates project, including producing key project documents associated business change processes.
Also, responsibility for developing and communicating trust requirements and expectations, and then working alongside stakeholders to ensure that any new space is suitable for the proposed service provision and supporting any moves that are required.
The post holder will communicate and engage with key stakeholders to produce the design brief in conjunction with the stakeholders that describe service needs.

To lead the implementation of capital project and estates utilisation, including the analysis of the change processes and training required to successfully deliver the projects and maximise the project benefits.
To directly deliver large scale major service transformation through the implementation of systems, buildings and the surrounding business, process and people change to time, cost, and quality expectations in partnership with the wider estates team and divisional project teams. To resolve problems that arise during capital projects, estates utilisation and move management projects and to report any problems that cannot be resolved to the relevant project board or other group.
To work with key stakeholders to ensure that there is clear understanding of the problems and commitment to the proposed solutions.
To involve all stakeholders internally and eternally to ensure that analysis and implementation stages of projects are fully supported. Although the Capital Projects Estates Manager is responsible for the overall capital budget, elements of this will be devolved to the post holder, who will take responsibility for day-to-day management of the relevant elements of programme / project management budgets.

1. Ensuring alignment of activity with organisational strategic objectives and direction and defining change management strategy, acting as a point of reference and the sharing of best practice, in all matters related to the management of change within the estates team. 3. To directly deliver large scale major service transformation through the implementation of systems, buildings and the surrounding business, process and people change to time, cost, and quality expectations in partnership with the wider estates team and divisional project teams. 4. To ensure that predefined standard frameworks are employed across the Trust for business, process and people change related to the delivery of the estates framework. 5. To resolve problems that arise during capital projects, estates utilisation and move management projects and to report any problems that cannot be resolved to the relevant project board or other group. 6. To ensure that each project is subject to robust financial management so ensuring that the project is delivered on budget. 7. To assure the divisions of delivery of new capability and benefits within clearly defined timescales. 8. To work with key stakeholders to ensure that there is clear understanding of the problems and commitment to the proposed solutions. 9. To involve all stakeholders internally and eternally to ensure that analysis and implementation stages of projects are fully supported. 10. Mapping activity and identifying gaps between current and future state business processes. 11. To ensure that PRINCE2 project management principles are followed within the projects and to promote these principles to others within the Trust as appropriate. 12. To ensure all estates projects are delivered in line with the NHS Estates code and in accordance with Trusts standing financial instructions. 13. Undertake regular research, using complex research methodology, to support the Capital Projects Estates Manager in ensuring that Business Change elements of estates projects are managed and supported within current ‘good practice’ guidelines, and that any revised guidelines are put into practice. 14. Any ‘good practice’ developed as a result of research activity should be shared widely within the local health community and beyond. 15. Although the Capital Projects Estates Manager is responsible for the overall capital budget, elements of this will be devolved to the post holder, who will take responsibility for day-to-day management of the relevant elements of programme / project management budgets. 16. Support the Capital Projects Estates Manager to develop appropriate objectives and performance plans for their team, ensuring that these align with overall Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust aims and objectives, and adhere to national and locally defined targets and standards.
