Job Description

As we expand, we are seeking a Junior Commercial Legal Counsel to join our legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal. This role offers the chance to develop legal expertise across various business areas, working with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial contracts: Review, draft, and negotiate agreements such as SaaS, software licenses, reseller agreements, supply contracts, strategic partnerships, NDAs, and other IT/software agreements.
2. Legal support: Provide legal advice supporting cross-functional company goals, assisting sales and other teams with legal risks and opportunities.
3. Risk management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, monitoring legal developments relevant to the business.
4. Legal and business affairs: Support legal and business issues, offering practical, commercial advice.
5. Training and policies: Develop and deliver training on company policies and governance.
6. Contract templates: Create and manage template contracts and obtain necessary approvals.

Qualifications

• Law degree and a current practicing certificate in the UK.
• In-house experience required; law firm experience and multi-jurisdictional work are highly valued.
• 1-4 years PQE; relevant experience will be considered.
• Preferably qualified in TMT or currently working in IT law.

Skills and Experience

• Strong business judgment and curiosity, balancing legal and business needs.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to work independently and manage strategic deals.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience supporting global stakeholders across time zones.
• Proven expertise in contract evaluation and negotiation.
