We are excited to advertise the Senior Clinical Nurse position for our -bed mixed Adult Inpatient Assessment Unit (Mulberry) on our Fulbourn site.
Our Assessment Unit is part of our innovative and ambitious model of care, known as the -- model. Our three wards work collaboratively to enable patients to access the right care at the right time. We have an Assessment Unit, where patients stay up to days, a Treatment ward (Mulberry), where patients stay up to weeks, and a Recovery Unit (Mulberry), where patients stay up to months.
Our Mulberry ward provides care for our local population experiencing serious mental illness. We need a strong Senior Clinical Nurse to revolutionise the provision of care on our Assessment Ward. This will involve closely liaising with our multidisciplinary team members and our system partners to ensure the provision of efficient and co-ordinated care.
As a Trust, we actively support and encourage innovation and transformation, so you will have a unique opportunity to shape the day-to-day operation and provision of care on our Assessment Ward.

As a Senior Clinical Nurse, clear communication and relationship building are key skills. You will need to build relationships with our community and partner services to support patients in their move back to the community, work with our Consultant Psychiatrist to establish new ways of working, support your colleagues on Mulberry, and introduce innovation. Most importantly, you will lead and develop your new team. Leadership skills are essential as you will be leading the team on Mulberry and supporting junior staff. Part of this role involves working closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist to drive change and work on change initiatives.
Finally, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care on the ward. We will look to you to ensure the correct support is provided for patients and their families/carers, that the ward is running safely and smoothly, that research and innovation are encouraged and supported, and that the ward is governed appropriately.
