Job Description:

£50 to £60k plus travel allowance and benefits

Remote contract with up to 90 days travel per year

Subsea, ROV, trenching or geotechnical operations background preferred

Our client is seeking:

An experienced offshore operations professional with hands-on knowledge of subsea equipment such as trenchers, ROVs or geotechnical spreads. You will have a strong understanding of live offshore environments and a track record of managing operational delivery from mobilisation through to demobilisation.

Position overview:

This is a key role focused on supporting the operational performance of offshore equipment spreads across international subsea projects. You will work closely with the Assets Manager, offshore teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure reliability, readiness, and project success.

Ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, this role suits individuals from a contractor or subsea delivery background who are comfortable troubleshooting, travelling offshore, and working at pace.

Key responsibilities:

Equipment readiness and performance

• Manage the operational performance of ROVs, trenchers and geotechnical equipment

• Ensure all equipment is maintained, certified and audit-ready

• Oversee defect reporting and continuous improvement

Mobilisation and live support

• Provide technical support during mobilisation and active offshore campaigns

• Troubleshoot faults both remotely and offshore as needed

• Act as the bridge between vessel teams and onshore engineering teams

Compliance and documentation

• Maintain operational documentation, compliance logs and maintenance records

• Ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations in line with company standards

Stakeholder collaboration

• Liaise with internal teams to align asset management with project delivery

• Support supply chain teams on spares, procurement and supplier selection

• Join regular project and operations reviews, contributing insights and updates

Key qualifications and experience:

• Minimum three years’ offshore experience with subsea spreads (trenching, ROV, geotechnical drilling)

• Proven experience managing full offshore spreads during live operations

• Valid offshore certifications (BOSIET, MIST, OGUK Medical)

• Strong understanding of the operational and client-facing pressures in offshore delivery

• Technical confidence across mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems

• Excellent troubleshooting and live support capability

• Background in subsea operations preferred over OEM-only roles

• Organised, proactive and confident working under pressure

• Experience in subsea contracting or marine services

• Exposure to offshore audits and continuous improvement initiatives

• Skilled in managing communication between offshore and senior stakeholders

What’s on offer:

• Competitive salary with travel allowance

• Involvement in cutting-edge subsea engineering projects

• Flexible, remote contract with travel to global project locations

• A fast-paced, supportive team environment with room to grow
