Job description

Business Development Director - Offshore Private Wealth

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Business Development Director to lead global growth efforts across the offshore private wealth sector, with a core focus on trust and corporate administration services. Based in London, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and converting new business opportunities through a well-established intermediary network both in the UK and across key offshore jurisdictions. This role demands a proactive, networked individual with a deep understanding of the private client and UHNW landscape, and the ability to develop tailored structuring solutions for international families, entrepreneurs, and their advisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive new business origination and revenue growth across the trust and corporate administration service lines.
  2. Leverage an existing network of private client lawyers, tax advisors, family offices, accountants, and wealth managers to generate qualified opportunities.
  3. Develop and execute a global business development strategy targeting intermediaries and UHNW client networks in major offshore financial centers (e.g., Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Caribbean, Switzerland, Singapore, UAE).
  4. Lead and manage the end-to-end sales process – from initial contact and structuring discussions through to client onboarding in collaboration with fiduciary, legal, and operational teams.
  5. Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and private wealth forums to build brand presence and cultivate strategic relationships.
  6. Provide market intelligence on emerging trends, jurisdictional developments, and regulatory changes impacting offshore private wealth structuring.
  7. Maintain rigorous use of CRM and sales tools for pipeline tracking, forecasting, and management reporting.
  8. Collaborate closely with cross-jurisdictional teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of bespoke client solutions.
Key Requirements:
  1. 10+ years' experience in a business development or client-facing role within the trust, fiduciary, or offshore corporate services industry.
  2. Strong and active intermediary network in London, as well as meaningful connections across offshore private wealth markets.
  3. Deep understanding of trust structures, offshore companies, family office services, and multi-jurisdictional structuring considerations.
  4. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to tailor solutions and articulate value to private clients and advisors.
  5. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills; a natural hunter.
  6. Self-starter with the ability to work independently, travel extensively, and manage complex cross-border opportunities.
  7. Professional qualifications such as STEP, ICSA, or TEP are a strong advantage.
