Job description

About the Role

You will be the Data & Analytics Lead, responsible for developing, driving, and executing the data strategy to build advanced analytics capabilities. Your role will involve partnering with business leaders to derive insights from data and achieve business objectives. You will work closely with internal and external suppliers to design, build, and manage data solutions aligned with the company's cloud and digital strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding business partners and the data team towards benefiting from tools not used in the current application stack, given the recent strategy change to cloud services within AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into analytics requirements.

  • Own and deliver the Data Analytics strategy for Paper Sourcing in line with IT strategy and business objectives.

  • Lead and manage the team of external data engineers and developers to deliver data products.

  • Take ownership of key data products and deliver business use cases, including developing reports on sales, production, inventory, prices, etc.

  • Ensure accountability for data pipelines from source systems to end-users, setting up processes for uptime and service management.

  • Design and deliver insights, dashboards, and data products to drive business performance.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, shape requirements, and deliver a backlog of features and projects.

  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders in non-technical language and IT stakeholders in technical language.

  • Manage the PowerBI environment, ensure best practices, and provide training.

  • Make design decisions for end-to-end solutions, including data integration, data modeling, and data warehousing.

  • Work with internal and external IT teams on implementing the data factory and migrating existing analytics solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory policies.

  • Contribute to documentation around data lineage, ETL, and data catalogs.

  • Utilize services from internal and external high-performing data analytics teams.

  • Oversee data governance, data quality, data warehousing, and business intelligence initiatives.

About You

  • Experience as a technical product owner in data science, analytics, or BI, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain industries.

  • Experience in data analytics leadership.

  • Strong expertise in data warehousing, BI, advanced analytics, and data visualization tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.

  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Expertise in agile development methodologies and data engineering best practices.

  • Experience working with co-located cross-functional teams and excellent English communication skills.

  • Ability to break down complex requirements and deliver multiple projects while meeting critical deadlines.

  • Experience owning PowerBI Workspaces with over 100 users, solution release processes, and complex lineage and security landscape.

  • Experience in migrating data solutions to the cloud and delivering cloud-based data solutions.
