Financial Controller required for the UK arm of an international group

Your new company
A growing business with an international footprint seeks to appoint a qualified accountant to oversee one of their largest offshore business units in an end-to-end role which combines reporting, controlling, FP&A and business partnering in a commercially-facing role. The role requires a candidate with an appreciation for the German language (both written and verbal).

Your new role
You will oversee all financial operations for a sizeable business unit based in Europe with support from a local and offshore team. You and your team will ensure accurate and timely management reports are produced in line with internal deadlines. You will act as a Financial Business Partner with ownership of the full P&L, alongside working capital and investment/capex control. Furthermore, you will conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making alongside owning the review of any financial investments made by the business. Some monthly ad-hoc travel to Europe will be required as part of the role in order to forge strong relationships with your stakeholder group in Germany.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting as well as commercial/FP&A skills. Furthermore, you will be familiar with the SAP system and relish working within a division of an international group, appreciating the need to work to a tight global timetable. German-speaking skills are essential.
