Location: Doncaster / Scunthorpe

Position: Full-time, permanent

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am - 3.30 pm

Additional hours: Approx. 6 hours overtime per week at time and a quarter

Salary: £27,300 - £32,175 (negotiable), paid weekly plus overtime pay

We are seeking Senior Paint Sprayers and a Sprayshop Manager for a well-established manufacturing firm specializing in commercial joinery. The role involves maximizing throughput in the spray shop while maintaining high standards of quality, health, and safety. You will work as part of the production management team to continuously improve operations, processes, and procedures, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure effective communication.

Previous experience with timber production is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing the prep team (2 staff and sanding machine) and 2 spray booths
2. Overseeing 4 sprayers
3. Reviewing orders in collaboration with the Factory Scheduler
4. Ensuring high-quality standards and rejecting poor quality when necessary
5. Training employees to diversify skills within the department
6. Training new employees in the spray shop
7. Planning and organizing spray shop workload weekly
8. Increasing departmental efficiency
9. Implementing corrective and preventive actions to reduce waste and downtime
10. Ensuring maintenance is performed correctly and timely, keeping equipment clean and safe
11. Adhering to health and safety practices
12. Maintaining spray shop and paint stores in line with permits, managing stock levels, using old stock first, and disposing of out-of-date stock properly
13. Performing any other reasonable duties to support company objectives

The role offers an easy commute from Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Messingham, Hatfield, and Thorne.
