Job Introduction

Here at Lucion, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to join our South West Asbestos team. This is a hybrid role where your nearest local office is likely to be our Bristol facility but we are looking for someone based either in Bristol or Cardiff ideally. We are looking to offer the successful candidate a basic salary of between £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.

More About The Role

  • Oversee the performance, development, and well-being of the operations and asbestos site team, including recruitment, training, appraisals, and HR matters.
  • Ensure that all operations align with regulatory and company compliance standards, conducting audits and investigations, as necessary.
  • Ensure the right staff are being assigned to the right jobs with the required skills, balancing operational workload
  • Monitor P&L, invoicing, WIP, and expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Mentor the regional operations team into becoming the Senior Operations Managers of the future. Regular check-ins and guidance will be required to promote excellent teamwork, progression and learning opportunities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client queries, internal stakeholders, and project management discussions.

More About You

  • Strong background in operations management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and financial oversight
  • Experience of working as an asbestos analyst or surveyor and understanding the site-based activities would be a strong advantage
  • Industry competence qualification(s) such as BOHS P405 or CCP
  • Demonstrable experience of managing the cost of effective delivery (Gross Profit) and delivery of company revenue targets including P&L management
  • Proven experience in team leadership and staff management, including recruitment, appraisals, and HR matters
