Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

The Company

Your Role

Working within our Sainsbury’s Distribution Centre, the Maintenance Technician will assist with routine maintenance duties to ensure productivity and output equipment availability, health & safety compliance, and quality. You will be performing the following tasks:

  1. Operational checks, functionality checks, cleaning, adjustment, lubrication, and monitoring. Find root cause of issues and find permanent solutions to issues encountered.
  2. Assist with planned preventative maintenance, corrective and reactive maintenance in a timely manner as required.
  3. Be proficient in all aspects of the operational procedures involving jam busting.
  4. Record all work carried out to ensure utilization of Maximo.

What We Expect From You

As a Maintenance Technician, you would be willing to assist and learn from a multi-disciplined team in a fast-moving environment. We expect the following from you:

  1. You have a proactive approach to fault finding and act proficiently in aspects of the operation and maintenance procedures.
  2. You act like a team player.
  3. Willing to work shifts including nights.
  4. Willing to work overtime when this is required.
  5. In possession of or working towards an NVQ / City & Guilds, level 1 or 2 in a Mech/Elec discipline.
