We have a 28.8-hour vacancy on a 5-week rota starting at 6am at Rutland Memorial Hospital within our Estates and Facilities Directorate.

As a Facilities Assistant, you will provide an effective, patient-focused Facilities Service (FM) in the delivery of cleaning, portering, and catering.

Applicants are asked to bring their photo ID and proof of right to work, including proof of address, to their interviews.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards across our services. You will be a valued member of the Soft FM Team and respected for your work.

All roles involve duties across our Trust sites and support services to ensure a safe, efficient, and effective service for patients, staff, and visitors.

  1. Preparing and regenerating patient meals at ward level daily.
  2. Providing a patient-focused cleaning and domestic service to meet NHS cleanliness standards within designated areas.
  3. Providing portering services, including transporting linen cages, waste bins/carts, and patient moves between departments.

This role requires rotation between responsibilities as needed.
