Summary of Role Purpose:

The Corporate Intelligence team is looking for a Chinese speaking intelligence analyst. You will help us grow our business and help clients identify and address key reputational and regulatory risks.

Description of the role:

You should expect to be involved in a wide range of challenging engagements, including investigations, litigation support, integrity due diligence, third-party risk management, and ESG due diligence. Your role will involve research, retrieval, analysis of public records, and drafting succinct, actionable intelligence reports. Main responsibilities include:

• Conducting research in Simplified Chinese and other relevant languages using specialist databases and public record sources;
• Utilizing online and offline sources, including corporate registries across various countries;
• Sourcing information from manual and third-party sources;
• Drafting and delivering time-sensitive, concise intelligence reports;
• Assisting in proposal preparations and supporting marketing efforts;
• Managing external research sources;
• Enhancing understanding of geopolitical and business risks in Greater China and APAC regions;
• Supporting research development and thought leadership.

Role dimensions:

Leadership & Management:

Act as the subject matter expert for Greater China, instruct and manage external researchers, ensure team knowledge is current.

Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:

Work with senior team members, manage deadlines, contribute to client calls and proposals, and present thought leadership.

Deliver high-quality reports timely, maintain an audit trail, and ensure accuracy.

The Person:

Essential experience:

• Strong academic background in social sciences or related fields;
• Excellent English communication skills;
• Fluency in Mandarin, with research, interviewing, and translation skills; additional languages are a plus;
• Understanding of risks/opportunities in Greater China and APAC;
• Relevant experience in research, analysis, or investigative roles;
• Proven report drafting skills;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Discretion and commitment to quality.
