Job description

OCU Group is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Residential team in Leeds.

The role's primary purpose is to support our engineers by managing and optimizing schedules, ensuring the efficient use of resources, and maintaining smooth departmental operations. This position is ideal for individuals with strong administrative and interpersonal skills who want to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and maintain schedules for employees, contractors, or resources to meet operational demands.
  2. Serve as the primary contact for scheduling inquiries, changes, and conflict resolution.
  3. Communicate schedule updates promptly to relevant stakeholders.
  4. Ensure customer SLAs are met by optimizing resource use and planning work efficiently.
  5. Meet deadlines while upholding high standards.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and UK labour regulations, including working time directives.
  7. Monitor and address last-minute changes or emergencies to minimize disruption.
  8. Utilize scheduling software or tools to optimize resource allocation.
  9. Generate and maintain accurate records and reports related to scheduling.
  10. Collaborate with team leaders and managers to forecast staffing needs and plan resources.
Skills and Experience
  1. Proven experience in scheduling, coordination, or administrative roles.
  2. Strong geographical knowledge with experience scheduling field visits across Yorkshire and East Midlands areas.
  3. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  4. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling software.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  8. Knowledge and experience in the utilities industry is preferred.
