Job Opening: Senior Accountant and Reimbursement Analyst

Responsibilities:
Senior Reimbursement Analyst:
- Compile data and analyze net revenue calculations, third-party cost reports, audits, and other reimbursement projects.
- Assist with coordination and filing of third-party cost reports for Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare.
- Calculate and record contractuals and bad debts using models and prepare various insurance payment and adjustment reports.
- Assess reimbursement impacts of regulatory and contractual changes.
- Respond to third-party audit requests and maintain knowledge of reimbursement regulations.
- Analyze third-party settlements and correspondence.
- Develop and utilize financial and statistical reporting systems to determine contractual allowances.
- Maintain logs of Medicare PS&R and coordinate reviews related to Medicare cost reports, including wage index reviews.
- Assist with the reporting of the Medicare Occupational Survey every three years.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Senior Accountant:
- Review budget vs. actual expenses and prepare monthly variance reports.
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare accurate month-end journal entries.
- Reconcile investment statements, report on allowances and fund balances.
- Ensure revenue integrity for the homecare subsidiary modules, including journal entries and monthly reporting.
- Conduct monthly financial reviews and distribute reports to the Finance Committee.
- Maintain scripts for financial reporting distribution and reconcile bank accounts.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and audit preparations.
- Review and report on property abandonments and perform due diligence.
- Provide financial education to hospital staff and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties and projects as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong statistical entry skills and proficiency with 10-key.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work professionally and courteously within a team environment.
