Job description

Job title: Band 6- Community Nurse Rapid Response

Location: Barnet

Hours: Part time/ Full time / Ad-hoc – Line of work contract

Shift hours: Negotiable, service open 08:00-20:00, seven days a week

Rates:

  1. £27.00 per hour Day Rate
  2. £30.00 Saturday
  3. £35.00 Sunday

Please note that you will need to pick up weekdays to access weekends.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role you need a minimum of 6 months NHS experience within the last 2 years.

Job Description:

Athona’s Nursing division is currently recruiting for Community agency nurses, with an opportunity based in West London and surrounding areas. This is a community-based shift worked for an NHS Trust. You will need to be a car driver and have access.

Key Skills:

  1. Wound care
  2. Catheter care
  3. Palliative care
  4. Holistic assessment
  5. Medication administration
  6. Insulin administration/management
  7. Advanced clinical assessment skills
  8. Experienced in acute and ED departments
  9. Liaise with GP to initiate antibiotic treatment
  10. IV skills with administration and cannulation
  11. Knowledgeable with ECG, bladder scans/I-stat machine and the CRP machine phlebotomy
  12. Car driver – the team responds to each patient referral within 2 hours
  13. Able to use experience of using System One

To be considered for this post applicants will need:

  1. Full NMC registration
  2. Enhanced DBS for Adult and Child
