Senior Business Analyst - FTC

Role Description:

In line with our global strategy and purpose, we have an exciting opportunity to join the UK Transformation Programme as a Senior Business Analyst on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract to help shape and implement the target operating model for our Commercial business.

Our ambition is to transform the end-to-end experience for policyholders, intermediaries, internal users, and other parties through modernising core systems, data-led digital asset development, and integrations (internal and external).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead or support the scoping of change initiatives within the Transformation Programme, using the Business Analysis Framework.
  • Support other Programme Business Analysts to ensure quality and excellence in analysis.
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels to elicit, define, and manage business requirements with clear end-to-end traceability.
  • Ensure requirements are understood and approved by stakeholders, supporting change control and prioritisation.
  • Assist in development, testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of solutions, collaborating with solution partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in retrospectives, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing to learn from experiences and understand benefits realization.

Skills & Experience:

  • Passionate about the Business Analyst role with experience on medium and large change projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proficient in eliciting comprehensive requirements and achieving stakeholder consensus using various analysis techniques.
  • Experience with creating Epics and User Stories in Confluence and Jira.
  • Understanding of Use Cases, Value Streams, and Personas.
  • Ability to apply industry-standard modelling techniques, including data modelling and BPMN.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence skills across all levels.
  • Agile mindset with flexibility and adaptability to business priorities.
  • Level education or equivalent; knowledge of Business Change activities.
  • Experience in a Financial Services environment, especially in Commercial General Insurance.
  • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent.
