Job description

Commercial Property Lawyer - Sidmouth

Large South West firm with multiple offices across Devon and Somerset are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join their busy property team in their Sidmouth office. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse range of commercial property matters across a broad and varied client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handling property transactions for commercial landlords and tenants, including joint ventures, retail and leisure projects, and development site acquisitions.
  2. Advising on commercial contracts.
  3. Managing portfolio sales, acquisitions, and business transfers (e.g., restaurants, guest houses).
  4. Overseeing project management and collaborating with internal teams.
  5. Participating in networking and marketing initiatives.


Ideal Candidate:

  1. A qualified Property Lawyer with at least three years' experience handling your own caseload of commercial property matters.
  2. Strong commercial awareness and general experience in commercial law (specialist knowledge is a plus, with support available for development).
  3. Excellent technical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
