    Job overview

    Soon to be qualifying Occupational Therapist, or already registered? We have a great opportunity to join our Band 5 Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Occupational Therapy rotation,

    and is seeking the opportunity to develop their OT skills.

    The Mental Health and Learning Disability Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation offers an opportunity to extend your scope of practise and experience working with individuals offering meaningful treatment interventions across a range of clinical areas including inpatient and community.

    The initial rotational placement will be within the North East Essex Community Adult Occupational Therapy Team based at Herrick House Colchester. Following completion of your first rotation you will have the opportunity to move onto a variety of six month rotational opportunities as detailed in the advert's supplementary information.

    Main duties of the job

    Working as part of the Occupational Therapy team alongside the wider multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for working with the individual to identify how their current mental health impacts upon their daily functioning, help identify needs and goals, and establish appropriate treatment interventions to support them within their rehabilitation.

    You will also work within the MDT undertaking shared tasks including management of a Care Coordination caseload and participating in the team Duty rota.
