Function / Area: Exposure & Catastrophe Management
Reporting to: Head of Exposure and Catastrophe Management
Position Summary
We are seeking an ECM Analyst to join our London team. The role involves reporting and exposure management of the non-natural catastrophe risk portfolio across all CNA Hardy lines of business. The analyst will ensure that our models and methodologies are robust and validated appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and develop management information related to non-natural catastrophe aggregating risks, including Cyber, Liability, and man-made property risks.
- Create and maintain scenarios for non-natural catastrophe underwriting risks, including RDSs and risk appetites.
- Contribute to external reporting such as RDS, Standard Formula, Pool Returns, etc.
- Ensure data completeness to facilitate risk quantification.
- Assist in developing tools and methodologies to measure and control non-natural catastrophe risks.
- Participate in Exposure and Catastrophe Management Group and related working groups.
- Develop and maintain procedures and documentation.
- Support system upgrade testing to ensure functionality, operational requirements, and reporting efficiency.
- Assist the Reinsurance team with data for Non Nat Cat reinsurance placements.
- Participate in model and scenario validation, including sensitivity analysis and output adjustments.
- Contribute to man-made catastrophe event response where appropriate.
- Assist management with ad hoc ECM projects.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
