Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep experience (5+ years) with core financial modules:
- Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CE), Fixed Assets (FA), Intercompany (ICO), Accounting Sub Ledger (ASL), General Ledger (GL), Oracle Tax (ZX)
- Experience with reporting tools: BI Publisher, OTBI, FRS
- ERP System Support & Configuration
- Relevant experience in financial or commercial roles, preferably within the insurance sector
- Hands-on experience supporting and configuring Oracle ERP for finance teams
- Experience managing security, patching, updates, and integrations
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across Oracle ERP and data interfaces
- Experience coordinating with Oracle Support for issue resolution
- Understanding of Systems Integration & Data Flow, including data transfer between Oracle modules and related applications
- Familiarity with data mapping, ETL, or Middleware tools
- Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences and present clearly at various organizational levels
- Familiarity with project delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
- Knowledge of Oracle quarterly updates/patching processes
- Experience working with offshore or nearshore teams
Overview:
This role involves providing backfill Oracle ERP support, managing change implementation, and ensuring best practices and governance. You will need a strong understanding of our insurance client and how Oracle supports finance functions. The position is within a hybrid team of technical and functional specialists supporting Oracle Cloud services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Oracle ERP from both technical and functional perspectives, including security, updates, process development, and documentation
- Design and configure Oracle ERP to meet business needs
- Support key financial processes, ensuring system effectiveness
- Monitor Oracle systems and data transfer processes
- Handle problem and incident management related to Oracle and data flows
- Collaborate with Group IT for change implementation and issue resolution
- Resolve issues related to Oracle applications and components
- Participate in planning, scoping, and delivering ERP functionalities
- Support tasks related to Oracle support, changes, and testing
- Assist in requirements gathering, providing strategic guidance
- Establish best practices for Oracle platform support
- Liaise with Oracle Support for issue resolution and patch management
