Job Description:

The role:

The Retail, Consumer and Leisure team within M&A Operations is fast-growing and supportive, working on a wide range of client engagements. We often work on high-profile deals with top-tier firms across the deal cycle, from pre-deal diligence, synergy development, and separation planning through Day 1 and into implementation support. We collaborate with PwC’s wider Retail, Consumer and Leisure practice, including Strategy Consulting and Financial Due Diligence.

Our team includes professionals with experience in retail, leisure (travel, hospitality, gaming, health & fitness, visitor attractions), manufacturing, engineering, R&D, marketing, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Pre-deal value creation advisory, identifying and quantifying value in a deal.
  2. Providing operational due diligence on buy and sell sides.
  3. Identifying and reviewing synergies from transactions and planning their realization.
  4. Supporting divestment of subsidiaries and planning for day 1 operations.
  5. Assisting with day planning post-acquisition to ensure smooth transition and quick wins.
  6. Supporting clients in integration to realize pre-deal value, reduce risks, and merge organizations successfully.
  7. Leading workstreams or projects, producing analysis, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
  8. Managing Associates or Senior Associates as needed.

This role is suitable if you have:

Experience in operational management/leadership within retail or leisure sectors, or providing professional services to these industries. Attributes include excellent stakeholder management, analytical skills, curiosity, problem-solving discipline, adaptability, and willingness to develop data analytics skills.
