Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / part-time

About the Role:
As aMental Health Support Worker, you will work directly with students experiencing mental health challenges, helping them navigate daily tasks, manage emotional struggles, and build resilience. You will be a key part of creating a supportive, positive environment where students feel valued and empowered.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer compassionate assistance to students with mental health challenges, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
  • Create and apply personalised care strategies in collaboration with mental health professionals.
  • Actively listen to students' concerns, offering guidance and validation.
  • Work with teachers, mental health staff, and families to create a comprehensive support network for each student.
  • Help students build skills to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges effectively.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive atmosphere where students feel valued and comfortable reaching out for help.
  • Regularly assess students' progress, adapting strategies as needed to meet their evolving needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as aMental Health Support Workeror similar role is highly beneficial.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting mental health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications inmental health supportor related fields are desirable but not essential.

To work with GSL Education, you will need:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
  • Competitive Pay: Earn £76.92 - £95.68 per day, based on experience.
