Purchase Ledger Clerk

This role will involve attending the Reading Office occasionally.

Our Client Banking division continues to grow, and we are seeking a meticulous and organized Cashiering Administrator to join our vibrant Reading office with options for remote or hybrid working. This role is suitable for someone with previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts receivable role, with knowledge of payroll, bookkeeping, cash book, or bank reconciliation.

The Role
  • Administer client bank accounts effectively for pension administration clients.
  • Provide professional service following established procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Raise cheques and electronic payments daily for pension schemes.
  • Ensure signatures are checked and returned within deadlines.
  • Maintain cashbooks using CashFac, SAGE, and Aviary accounting systems.
Your Profile
Essential Criteria
  • Good education with a minimum Grade B in GCSE Maths.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Experience in finance or accounting roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Background in purchase ledger and banking is beneficial.
  • Experience with payment requisitions or accounting/cashiering software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well-organized with attention to detail.
