Senior Vice President – Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) GCSD Operations Manager - Corporate Services

Responsibilities

We seek a Senior Vice President, EMEA GCSD Operations Manager - Corporate Services, responsible for managing and operating the Global Corporate Services Division (GCSD) commodities, including:

  • Driving GCSD strategy and site operations aligned with global guidelines and vision; think globally, act locally.
  • Ensuring operational compliance with global commodity strategies, policies, processes, and governance.
  • Fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture that promotes employee success, empowerment, innovation, and focus on key results.

This role is based in Manchester – Hybrid model.

Impact Areas

In this role, you will:

  • Promote service excellence, efficiency, and value creation.
  • Assess current operations and develop long-term strategic plans for improvement.
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships, support portfolio enhancements, and address internal client issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors, ensure compliance with governance, monitor costs, and oversee vendor performance and management.
  • Prepare and present project proposals to senior leadership.
  • Implement industry best practices, innovative solutions, and sustainable practices to maximize impact.
  • Leverage digital solutions to streamline operations and automate manual processes.

Leadership & Commodity Support

  • Provide regional oversight for GCSD commodities, considering regional nuances.
  • Set goals for operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and monitor initiatives to improve vendor service levels.
  • Assess staffing structures, recommend staffing and compensation, and manage talent development.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to evaluate new services or enhancements.

Practicalities

  • Reports to the International Lead for Corporate Services (Manchester, UK).
  • Manage GCSD employees across EMEA and oversee approximately 150 vendor staff.
  • Availability for emergency support during EMEA operational hours and periodic travel within the region.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience managing corporate services in complex organizations.
  • Proven leadership in senior management roles.
  • Experience building and managing teams in entrepreneurial or startup environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially in English, with proven ability to lead through influence.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools (Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
  • Strong data and analytics skills.
  • Understanding of legal and contractual terms.
  • Self-starter with a track record of achieving results and strategic execution.
