Are you looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Financial Controller with a compelling commercial background to join our ambitious, friendly in-house finance team on a 12-15-month fixed term contract.
Within our team, you'll be working closely with the Head of Finance, leading the financial reporting team and ensuring that financial data is prepared accurately and in a timely manner in order to influence decision making within the business.

About the role
Lead the financial reporting team currently a team of 4, providing technical guidance, prioritising and allocating work, setting reporting timetables, and developing the capability of the team through personal development, coaching and appraisals.
Oversee the Firms' annual consolidated financial statements, along with individual company financial statements.
Prepare monthly and annual consolidation of all group entities and subsequent reporting & analysis.
Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
Analyse Management information and present findings.
Collaborate with the Balance Sheet & Liquidity Manager to prepare P+L, Balance Sheet and cashflow forecasts and departmental P&L reports.
Prepare board packs and attend board meetings of regulated entities.
Work with multi-jurisdictional teams to prepare annual budgets.
Work closely with the Head of Finance, ensuring that financial data is prepared accurately and in a timely manner to present to senior management, boards, partners and auditors.
Complete Tax computations and returns in line with submission deadlines.
Work with the Finance Systems team, with a view to increasing automation where relevant.
About you
Qualified Accountant with extensive accounting experience.
Demonstrable commercial acumen.
Flexible approach, able to respond to changes in priority, and develop solutions to new problems.
Experience in people management and enabling team members to excel.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, verbally, in writing and through presentation of analysis.
Experience utilising a practice management system; Elite 3e, Viewpoint would be useful but not essential.
Salary: £75000 - £80000 per annum + bonus and benefits
