Job description

Job Title: Digital Print Operator

Location: Sheffield (S9 area)

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 per annum

Job Type: Temp to Perm (12-week trial period leading to a permanent contract)

Shifts
  • Initial training on days: 10:00am - 5:30pm
  • Then moving to double day shifts: Early: 6:00am - 1:30pm; Late: 1:30pm - 9:00pm
  • Night shift option (if preferred): 4 nights per week, 9:00pm - 6:00am
About The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Digital Print Operator to join a busy digital print department at a fast-paced production site in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for someone who is technically minded, IT literate, and looking to build a long-term career within the print industry.

You will be trained to operate high-end digital print presses, ensuring that all work is completed to exact specifications and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate digital presses in line with job specifications
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Monitor press performance and report any maintenance issues
  • Record and report reprints and wastage
  • Work independently while supporting the wider print team
  • Maintain uptime of equipment and proactively resolve issues
What We're Looking For

  • Punctuality and eagerness to learn
  • Physically fit and able to work on your feet
  • Ability to work under pressure in a production environment
  • IT literacy and familiarity with PC-based systems
  • Previous print or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided

  • There is a strong possibility of a permanent contract after 12 weeks for the right candidate.
