Cherry Ward is a female-only ward for patients with acute mental health needs. We are a busy setting, perfect for nurses who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The ward was designed in collaboration with patients to create a supportive environment for those who use our service.

Our Nurse Team Leaders role model & lead our team to deliver high standards of care within a high acuity environment. We seek psychologically minded, compassionate nurses eager to develop their leadership, clinical & therapeutic skills, and who share our trust's commitment to working alongside the people we support.

We are passionate about empowering our nursing team with the right skills to thrive. We prioritize clinical supervision and offer extensive training and development opportunities.

We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements. Our 24/7 shift pattern allows for flexible hours, including options for compressed hours and other flexible working arrangements.

Main duties of the job
  1. Contribute to a 24-hour, seven-day inpatient service.
  2. Take charge of a ward regularly and undertake duties delegated by the Clinical Ward Manager.
  3. Provide clinical leadership, support ward management, including staff deployment, supervision, teaching, and resource management.
  4. Assess individual care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate care programmes, and set standards of care.
  5. Manage, deploy, and supervise junior staff during night shifts.
  6. Lead a key project or subject matter as part of the wider team.
  7. Prioritize attendance at training, supervision, and apply reflective practice to support continuous learning.
