Are you a Fully Qualified Freight Train Driver looking for a change of pace?

Our Train Drivers earn a salary of £70,889 for a 34.5-hour week over 4 days, leaving plenty of opportunity for overtime.

As a Train Manager, you will support GBRf in our commitment to deliver a safe, reliable, and best-in-class service to our customers. Your role will involve liaising with Rail Operators, Signallers, and Contractors to ensure customer requirements are met and trains arrive on time.

This shift-based role requires a flexible attitude to working hours, with a nominal 34.5-hour week. Shifts vary to cover 24/7 operations, especially nights, which are traditionally freight hours.

  1. Current Freight Train Driving Experience is essential.
  2. Candidates must have a satisfactory safety record and hold a valid UK driving licence.
  3. Extensive route and traction knowledge within the area is desirable.
  4. Proficiency with IT packages such as Word, Outlook, and ability to download applications on iPads.
  5. A safety-conscious and calm attitude in emergencies.
  6. Excellent concentration and observational skills.
  7. Clear, professional communication skills for safety messaging.
  8. Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
  9. Applicants must reside within 45 minutes of their place of work.
  10. Possession of a UK/EU Train Driver Licence is required.
