Job Title: Senior Paralegal - New Homes

Location: Northampton

Our client has a vacancy for a Senior Paralegal - New Homes. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have worked in Residential Conveyancing and/or a New Homes Division. You will be able to demonstrate your organisational skills, meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a team environment, whilst managing client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Take initial instructions from clients and open files through the Office Management System.
  2. Deal with client cases from initial instruction to completion under supervision.
  3. Liaise with clients both in office meetings and in telephone discussions.
  4. Receive and issue correspondence/mail from/to the client, agents instructed on behalf of the client, and third parties.
  5. Time record all work undertaken.
  6. Report to and receive and act upon instruction from the head of department.
  7. Adhere to Quality and Work Management Systems.
  8. Achieve key performance indicator targets, development targets and evaluate marketing of the team.
  9. Attend outside appointments if required.
  10. Adhere to the Firm’s compliance obligations.
  11. Attend training courses as required.
Required Skills and Experience
  1. Previous experience within a busy Residential Conveyancing department/New Homes division.
  2. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  3. Flexibility in support of other members of staff.
  4. Familiarity with the Lexcel accreditation including completion of file reviews, CAR's and following procedures for case/file management.
  5. Experience with liaising with clients over the phone and face to face coupled with strong client care skills.
