Do you have experience working with children with complex needs? Are you seeking a rewarding career in social care where you can make a difference to children and their families? Do you want a role that offers a good work/life balance?
Marshfields is a short break home providing emergency and time-limited specialist care for young people aged 5-18 with complex needs, where family, foster care, or other community placements are not possible or desirable at the time.
This is a night waking role requiring you to provide high-quality direct care to children and young people, ensuring their holistic needs are met. Responsibilities include providing personal intimate care, supporting children with disabilities through tasks such as eating, washing, toileting, repositioning, hoisting, and health care tasks, all of which can be learned through appropriate training and delegation of clinical procedures.
We adopt a relationship-based approach, building trusted relationships with children and families. Our practice is strengths-oriented, focusing on the abilities of families to foster positive change. We are committed to achieving the best outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Our team shares a common goal: to respond positively to the evolving demands of the role. We aim to ensure children and young people with disabilities have fun, safe, and respectful stays. Working here is rewarding, full of fun, and offers the privilege of engaging with inspiring young people and colleagues. I have loved my job here for 10 years.
