A significant offshore law firm is seeking to appoint a Senior Counsel to its expanding Private Capital & Trusts (PC&T) practice in Guernsey. This is a strategic hire aimed at strengthening the firm’s already impressive presence in the Channel Islands, working alongside a high-calibre team with access to an international client base and complex cross-border matters.

The successful candidate will bring a proven background in private wealth, with experience advising HNW individuals, trustees, family offices, and financial institutions on contentious and non-contentious trust and succession matters. Experience with corporate and finance elements of private client work would be beneficial but is not essential.

The role combines technical excellence with a strong client-facing and business development component, making it ideally suited to an ambitious and commercially minded lawyer looking to contribute meaningfully to the growth of a leading offshore practice.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years' PQE with a strong background in private client/trusts law
• Experience within a top-tier private client practice or family office preferred
• Guernsey or broader offshore experience advantageous but not required
• Strong communication, drafting and client development skills
• Ability to lead on matters and mentor junior colleagues
