Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Software Engineering to lead our Userspace Performance and Optimisation teams. You will oversee the full software development lifecycle to meet performance goals of Arm and its partners in userspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in performance analysis and optimisation, experience with various operating systems, leadership skills, and the ability to manage large-scale initiatives in a dynamic environment. Proven experience in handling complex requirements from multiple stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for software development related to Userspace Performance and Optimisation.
  • Lead multiple userspace software projects, ensuring efficient use of timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Align delivery roadmaps with business objectives through collaboration with leadership.
  • Mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams across multiple countries, fostering innovation and accountability.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Technology, QA, and Operations to deliver projects on schedule and scope.
  • Implement and optimise development methodologies to improve team efficiency and product quality.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience leading large-scale software initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of performance analysis tools and optimisation techniques.
  • Experience managing customers and stakeholders directly.

Nice To Have:

  • Familiarity with open-source ecosystems.
  • Experience in enterprise software environments.
  • Understanding of Arm architecture and ecosystem.
