Job Summary and Qualifications

Nuclear Medical Technologist

Our Imaging Teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As our new Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures carefully, compassionately, and respectfully, prioritizing patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.

Your tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Using radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
  • Preparing radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders, and administering and recording dosages as needed.
  • Performing diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Positioning patients and adjusting immobilization devices.
  • Explaining procedures to patients compassionately and addressing concerns.
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating utilizing computerized documentation.
  • Assisting with transporting patients if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
  • Current/Active Florida Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of recent experience as a Nuclear Med Technologist.
  • Current CNMT or AART (NM) certification; Licensed by the State of Florida.
  • Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
