Job summary

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust (UHMBT) aims to deliver sustainable, high-quality medical services aligned with the Better Care Together integrated model. Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity to join our innovative and expanding podiatry team. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality, accessible, and evidence-based service to patients.

Based primarily in South Lakes with outreach into Furness, your role will involve caring for an increased/high-risk caseload. You should be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and confidently. We welcome applications from newly qualified podiatrists for developmental roles (annex 21).

Our focus is on delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care that is sustainable. We offer a supportive, dynamic environment with regular supervision and training to help you develop your skills.

About us

Our facilities include three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, along with community health premises including Millom Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and RLI provide comprehensive hospital services, including emergency and specialist care. WGH offers general hospital services and an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life-threatening conditions. All hospitals provide outpatient, diagnostic, therapeutic, day case, and inpatient services, complemented by outreach services across Morecambe Bay.
