Sales Estimating Engineer

Location: Sutton in Ashfield, Nottingham
Salary: £45k - £48k

Who will you be working for?
Our client has been established for over 50 years, specializing in the design, build, and testing of bespoke distribution solutions. They have the in-house expertise to meet all of their clients' LV distribution requirements, manufacturing LV switchgear, package substations, power distribution units, and more.

What will you be doing?

1. Evaluation and preparation of sales tenders in conjunction with other members of the sales team, internal and external.
2. Liaison with potential new customers at the enquiry stage.
3. Compliance with the company's engineering standards and procedures when preparing estimates and tenders for the company's products.
4. Liaison with customers at the order stage to ensure compliance with the company's credit control procedures.
5. Preparation of contract folders ready for handover to engineering and attendance at handover meetings.
6. Continue liaison with customers at the post enquiry stage and post order stage as necessary to maintain continuity and goodwill.
7. Close liaison with the engineering department to ensure conformity with the agreed build specification for our products and any works to be undertaken on site.
8. Liaise with the engineering team providing support as required regarding any cost variations to the contracts.
9. Assessment of new supply products and techniques in conjunction with other sales and engineering staff.
10. Attend meetings as required and requested either internally or at customer offices or sites.
11. If skilled in CAD, assist with the creation of sales general arrangement layout drawings and single line power schematics using AutoCAD, working from sketches produced by yourself or other members of the sales team.
